Reception/Customer Service

The role of our Reception and Customer Service team is:

“To create a positive first and last impression for every family, while supporting smooth day-to-day operations at the facility.”

 

It means that during your shift it is your responsibility to ensure the following happens:

  1. Greet every family with warmth and enthusiasm as they arrive and leave.
  2. Be present, approachable, and proactive in offering help, no one should feel unsure or unwelcome.
  3. Respond to client questions with patience and clarity, whether it’s about changing a class, fixing payments, requesting an assessment, or giving feedback.
  4. Take responsibility for solving problems or directing the issue to the right person if needed.
  5. Keep the reception and retail area clean and organized.
  6. Monitor pool areas as needed, including performing pool tests and keeping safety top of mind.
  7. Support facility closing processes and take direction from the Deck Manager.
  8. Maintain a team-first mindset, helping other reception team members and communicating clearly with pool deck staff when needed.

Our preference is that our reception team member have a certification in both Lifeguarding and First Aid/CPR.

Lifeguard

The role of a lifeguard at Splash Fit is to:

“To provide a safe aquatic environment by preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and supporting the successful operation of the facility.”

 

It means that during every shift it is your responsibility to ensure the following happens:

  1. Maintain active surveillance of the pool.
  2. Enforce all pool rules and safety policies.
  3. Provide first aid, CPR, and AED care when needed.
  4. Complete safety checks and required reports.
  5. Keep rescue equipment ready and accessible.
  6. Communicate professionally with members and staff.
  7. Help maintain a clean and organized facility.
  8. Support lessons, practices, and special events.

A Lifeguard must hold a current Lifeguarding certification, including CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Additional opportunities for advancement are available through certifications in swim instruction, coaching, leadership, and aquatics management.

Swim Instructor

The role of a Swim Instructor at Splash Fit is:

“To deliver safe, engaging, and effective swim lessons that build confidence, develop skills, and provide meaningful feedback that motivates students to return each week eager to improve.”

 

It means that during every lesson it is your responsibility to ensure the following happens:

  1. Start and end every lesson on time.
  2. Deliver a safe and organized lesson.
  3. Follow the Splash Fit curriculum and lesson plan.
  4. Keep students actively swimming throughout the lesson.
  5. Provide praise, feedback, and encouragement to every swimmer.
  6. Demonstrate skills clearly using in-water demonstrations when appropriate.
  7. Manage student behavior professionally and positively.
  8. Assess swimmer progress accurately and consistently.

A Swim Instructor must hold a current Swim Instructor certification (or equivalent approved by Splash Fit), CPR/AED and First Aid certification, and maintain all required certifications throughout their employment.

Swim Team Coach

The role of a Swim Team Coach at Splash Fit Swim Club is:

“To develop confident, disciplined, and competitive swimmers by delivering safe, structured, and engaging practices that motivate athletes to improve every day.”

 

It means that during every practice it is your responsibility to ensure the following happens:

  1. Start and end every practice on time.
  2. Deliver a safe, organized, and productive practice.
  3. Follow the team training plan and seasonal objectives.
  4. Provide technical instruction and stroke correction.
  5. Motivate, encourage, and challenge every swimmer.
  6. Teach proper starts, turns, finishes, and race strategy.
  7. Foster discipline, sportsmanship, and accountability.
  8. Monitor swimmer progress and communicate performance goals.

A Swim Team Coach must hold a current instructor certification or coaching badge approved by Splash Fit Swim Club, maintain current Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, and meet all applicable USA Swimming requirements and background screening standards throughout their employment.

Deck Manager

The role of a Deck Manager at Splash Fit Swim Club is:

“To ensure every lesson runs safely, efficiently, and professionally by supporting staff, maintaining quality standards, and delivering an exceptional experience for every family.”

 

It means that during every shift it is your responsibility to ensure the following happens:

  1. Ensure lessons start and end on time.
  2. Maintain a safe and organized pool deck.
  3. Support receptionists, instructors, coaches, and lifeguards throughout the shift.
  4. Be the first point of contact for minor issues, escalating larger problems to the Facility Manager or COO.
  5. Monitor lesson quality and staff performance.
  6. Assist with swimmer evaluations and class placements.
  7. Address parent questions and resolve concerns professionally.
  8. Provide feedback to staff in the moment to maintain high standards.
  9. Communicate clearly with both staff and management about incidents, hazards, or needs.

A Deck Manager must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required, and previous experience in swim instruction, coaching, or aquatics operations is preferred. The Deck Manager must maintain all required certifications and successfully complete Splash Fit leadership training throughout their employment.

Enrollment Guide

The role of Enrollment Guide at Splash Fit Swim Club is:

“To guide prospective and current families through the Splash Fit experience by providing exceptional service and support from first inquiry through enrollment.”

 

This means that your day to day could look like:

  1. Respond promptly to calls, texts, emails, and website inquiries.
  2. Guide prospective families through the registration and enrollment process.
  3. Schedule assessments, swim lessons, and other appointments.
  4. Convert assessments at scheduled locations.
  5. Manage and update all customer records in CRM (GHL) and class management software (ICP).
  6. Follow up with new leads, missed assessments, and inactive families.
  7. Assist current members with scheduling, billing questions, makeups, and account support.
  8. Maintain accurate notes, communications, and enrollment records.
  9. Communicate important updates with Deck Managers, instructors, and leadership.
  10. Represent Splash Fit professionally in every customer interaction.
  11. Help families feel confident, informed, and excited throughout their Splash Fit journey.

An Enrollment Guide must have strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Training on CRM, iClassPro (ICP), and Splash Fit procedures will be provided and maintained throughout employment.
