PCA I & II

Being comfortable at a young age is the stepping-stone for your child to gain the maximum knowledge from what the water has to offer as they grow. In our Baby & Me class, becoming comfortable in and around water isn’t our only focus — we familiarise children with swimming readiness skills, introducing appropriate body positioning on both front and back while building a consistent kick, reach and pull, and proper face submersion. Parents learn the best positions to hold their child while keeping them comfortable as they learn.

PCA I Beginner Baby · 18–36M

Both the parent and child participate in the class together. The instructor directs the parents on how to safely hold the child in the water to get him or her adjusted to the aquatic environment.

PSA I, II & III

In Preschool Aquatics there is much more learning and a lot less playing. As children build comfort they become ready to swim short distances on their front and back while recognising the importance of safety. They are introduced early to front crawl and back crawl technique, and deep-water exploration helps them understand that it’s never about sinking to the bottom, but remaining at the surface. We believe practice and repetition build strong skills — not just blowing bubbles and singing songs.

What’s Next?

After completing the PSA III stage your child becomes eligible for Team Prep LTS III. Although we have age standards for all levels, progression is extremely important in the development of all of our swimmers, and exceptions do arise for those who show improvement along with a high level of commitment.

Train Like a Team Swimmer

Team Prep is designed for the intermediate to advanced trained swimmer who would like to further their skills to a competitive level, or for the athlete who already competes for a swim team. Through repetition and timed drill sets the swimmer gains a better understanding of how to propel themselves forward using arms, core and legs to improve stroke hydrodynamics. Turns, dives and underwater work are also improved to make sure the swimmer is balanced in each stroke.

Team Prep Monthly · 3× per week

What Training Looks Like

A monthly program running three times a week, combining dryland strength, pool practice and conditioning. Additional opportunities at the competitive levels of achievement include bettering stroke mechanics for a competitive swim team, Water Safety Instructor and Junior Lifeguarding courses.

Includes

  • Team Training — VASA
  • Team Training — Pool Practice
  • Team Training — HIIT
